Keeping our marina waters waste-free

Plastic waste in water

With 10million plus tonnes of plastic heading into our waters each year, there is a lot to clean-up. As safe-havens of slow waters and limited tides, waste can collect quickly in our harbours and marinas, and often.

Whilst it's incredibly important to prevent waste from entering our waters, it's also necessary to clean up what is already there.

Cleaner Marina Tips

  • Installing a Seabin is a great way to passively collect litter and waste from collecting in our marinas and harbours. They are also expert at collecting particles as small as microplastics, and for cleaning up oil and fuel pollution.
  • Organising beach and marina cleans are also a great way to get everyone together for a social AND a tidy up!
